The value of the health care act of 2010

Most Republicans and those hard-core, extreme right "Tea Party" zealots (I call the whole bunch "TeaPublicans") have been slamming the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 by calling this legislation "Obamacare." Using this term to negatively identify the Act with the President may be backfiring on critics because there are several provisions of this legislation that have or are becoming effective and Americans are starting to realize they like those benefits. I write about them in a column I did this week for the F-M Extra newspaper. You can read my piece in the paper's print edition, available free at various locations in the Red River Valley, or, for a printable PDF version, click here.
