A brilliant idea!

For those of you who visit the world-famous Strip in Las Vegas from time-to-time, as I do, I was excited to find (over Thanksgiving week, 2011) a full-service Walgreens drug store located right on the Strip, part of the Palazzo Hotel/Casino complex. This is fantastic because you can buy snacks, cosmetics and other items a lot cheaper than in those hotel gift shops. The selection of products is much wider too. They even offer a full-service pharmacy, something North Dakota law currently bans Walgreens from owning and running in North Dakota (the only state in the union to do so, thanks to one of the most un-progressive, backward legislatures in the nation).

I stopped in late in the day and in the early morning hours and the store was busy during both time periods.  However, Walgreens quickly adjusted to the traffic by immediately opening more checkouts to serve their customers.

Very impressed with this excellent move by Walgreens and a great value for guests of hotels on the Strip.

The Palazzo is to the Venetian Hotel/Casino what the Encore is to the Wynn Hotel, located next door in Las Vegas.

Hi, Larry. I believe I've been to this same Walgreens. There is a Denny's just a few blocks away on the same side of the strip, right? It was great to be able to buy Zyrtec and not have to pay "Las Vegas Strip" prices.
